About HOA Pushback

HOA violation notices look official. Most aren’t airtight. We help homeowners find the procedural gaps — and respond in writing before a fine becomes a lien.

Why This Exists

Most HOA enforcement letters are written to look final. They cite a rule number, set a deadline, and demand compliance or payment. What they rarely mention: the process has to be followed correctly, or the fine may not be enforceable.

That gap — between what HOAs send and what homeowners know — is what HOA Pushback was built to close. We focus on procedure: notice requirements, hearing rights, due process protections, and how to respond in writing so your objection is documented and taken seriously.

What We Offer

The HOA Pushback Pack is a $34 toolkit: a 15-point procedural checklist, five response letter templates, a hearing preparation script, and a state law reference covering all 50 states. It’s designed for homeowners who want to respond — not just comply.

The Resource Hub covers the legal and procedural landscape in plain language: when HOAs can fine you, how selective enforcement works, and what actually happens if you ignore a notice.

Who Writes This

The guides and templates are written by Maggie Chen-Rodriguez — a former HOA board member who now lives on the receiving end of those letters.

Maggie served 6 years on a homeowners association board in Boca Raton, Florida — first as Secretary, then as Vice President. After leaving the board, she moved to Fort Lauderdale, where her own condo association fined her twice. She challenged both fines in writing and won both times. That experience — combined with 22 years in corporate HR reading policy documents and navigating institutional disputes — is what every guide and template on this site is built from.

HOA Pushback does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm. If your situation involves a lien, foreclosure threat, or litigation, you should consult a licensed attorney in your state. What we provide is procedural knowledge and document templates — the tools to respond before things escalate to that point.
